American Civilizations

     Overall, many Iroquois Alliances have been kept since ancient times.  This indicates that the Iroquois Alliance established in ancient times helped the Native Americans thrive.  For example, there is even an Iroquois Healthcare Alliance.  Trade is also a major factor that assists the Iroquois nation economy today.  Trading among the Iroquois and other surrounding Native Americans groups has been conducted in New York and Canada across the Great Lakes.

      Also, famiy plays an important role in the Iroquois society.  The family unit was the extended family, including children, parents, grandparents, and other close relatives.  Also, some Iroquois Indians today still believe in a single Great Spirit, which was started in ancient times.
